Turkey Meat Patties

Turkey Meat Patties
Turkey meat is an excellent option for a light dinner. Here is a recipe that I have been tested many times and this is the result that always makes my family members to congratulate "the chef". Those rolls are deliciously crunchy outside while soft and moist inside.

Total time:
  • 2 lb of ground turkey meat
  • 4 eggs (2 for the meat, 2 for the batter)
  • 2 tbsps of chopped fresh basil
  • 3 cups of breadcrumbs (1 for the meat, 2 for the batter)
  • 1 cup of chopped onions
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of Worchestire sauce
  • 3 tbsp of olive oil (1 to sauté the onions and 2 to cook the meat)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  1. Sauté the onions in one tbsp of olive oil, let them cool
  2. In a large bowl, mix the meat, 2 eggs, 1 cup of breadcrumbs, sautéed onions, chopped basil, minced garlic, Worchestire sauce, salt and pepper to taste. If the consistency of the mixture is not right to shape the rolls, you may add more breadcrumbs to adjust to obtain the desired result.
  3. Shape the rolls to the desired size and flatten them to about half an inch, so the heat will cook them thoroughly.
  4. In a shallow bowl beat the eggs and put the 2 remaining breadcrumbs on a plate
  5. Dredge the rolls into the egg mixture, then into the breadcrumbs, such the rolls are fully covered by the breadcrumbs
  6. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large pan and cook the rolls until golden brown, about 3 minutes on each side. Add more oil as needed.
  7. Serve warm or cold. They make an excellent sandwich. Enjoy!
