Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Mashed potatoes is a very popular dish in Europe and America. It can be served as a side dish for any meat.

  • 4 large potatoes , Russet, Yukon Gold or Red
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • ¼ cup of unsalted butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  1. Peel and rinse the potatoes, cut them in cubes. If you prefer, you may leave some skin on.
  2. In a large pot put water, add potatoes and garlic cloves with 1 tbsp of salt, boil on high heat for about 15-20 minutes, until fork tender
  3. Drain the potatoes and retain the garlic cloves, put the potatoes in a bowl
  4. Mince the boiled garlic with a garlic press
  5. Add butter over the potatoes, mash with a potato masher.
  6. Add half of the heavy cream, continue to mash, add the rest of the heavy cream until you bring the potatoes to your desired consistency.
  7. Add minced garlic, salt and pepper to taste, mix well
  8. Serve while hot as a side dish for any meat dish. Enjoy!
