Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Mashed potatoes is a very popular dish in Europe and America. It can be served as a side dish for any meat.

Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes , Russet, Yukon Gold or Red
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- ¼ cup of unsalted butter
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Peel and rinse the potatoes, cut them in cubes. If you prefer, you may leave some skin on.
- In a large pot put water, add potatoes and garlic cloves with 1 tbsp of salt, boil on high heat for about 15-20 minutes, until fork tender
- Drain the potatoes and retain the garlic cloves, put the potatoes in a bowl
- Mince the boiled garlic with a garlic press
- Add butter over the potatoes, mash with a potato masher.
- Add half of the heavy cream, continue to mash, add the rest of the heavy cream until you bring the potatoes to your desired consistency.
- Add minced garlic, salt and pepper to taste, mix well
- Serve while hot as a side dish for any meat dish. Enjoy!
