Introduction: I am not a fan of fast foods but from time to time I just crave fried food. Today I cooked the best chicken in Texas. Here is how:

Ingredients
- 1 lb of chicken breast
- 1½ cup of flour
- ½ cup of corn starch
- ½ tablespoon of baking soda
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 3 tablespoons of granulated garlic
- 1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon of cumin
- three egg whites, lightly beaten
- frying oil
Instructions
- Cut the chicken in stripes of two inches long and ½ inch thick
- In a large bowl mix the flour, corn starch, baking soda, granulated garlic, cayenne pepper, cumin, and mix well
- In a Dutch oven put a quantity of frying oil to cover 2-3 inches of the oven walls and heat on medium until hot
- Soak the chicken stripes into the egg whites then roll then into the flour mixture to coat the chicken evenly
- Place the chicken into the hot oil and cook turning them until golden
- Remove the chicken from the oven and place on a plate covered with a paper towel
- Serve hot with ranch sauce and favorite vegetables
