Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Chocolate Covered Strawberries
In my opinion, chocolate covered strawberries are one the sexiest foods. Add champagne and you will have the picture of a perfect hot date night.

Total time:
  • 1 lb of fresh strawberries
  • 1 lb of your favorite chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly and remove the stems. If you prefer you may live them on, like I did. Stick a tooth pick in each strawberry to prepare for the chocolate covering.
  2. Put the chocolate chips and the oil in a microwavable bowl and microwave for 45 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir. You should have a melted chocolate ready to cover the strawberries.
  3. Holding it by the tooth pick, take one strawberry at the time and roll it into the melted chocolate. When covered, stick the tooth pick into the styrofoam with the strawberry on top to help drying the chocolate nicely and uniformly. If you do not have styrofoam, you can use a potato cut in half. Repeat until the strawberries are all done. If the chocolate gets hardened, microwave it again and repeat with the remaining strawberries.
  4. Allow the strawberries to dry then arrange them on a nice plate. Serve it with cold champagne on a hot date night.
You will need tooth picks and asmall piece of styrofoam to help drying the chocolate. I used the chocolate fountain to prepare the strawberries presented in the picture.
